Construction Update
Nov 28th 2025

Dear Residents,

As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to share an update on the ongoing construction work.

Sir Gareth and surrounding streets

The final service on Sir Gareth will be completed today. A restoration crew will begin on Monday to complete cleanup and temporary asphalt repairs by the end of next week.

The main sewer crew is finishing the large maintenance hole at Sir Lancelot and Sir Pellias. Early next week, they will move to Sir Kay to complete the remaining section of sewer upgrades between Sir Lancelot and Sir Gareth. This work is expected to take about two weeks.

Two services on Sir Lancelot will need realignment following the storm sewer upgrade. This work will begin next week.

Once Sir Gareth is complete, the restoration crew will move to Sir Lancelot to do final cleanup and temporary restoration between Sir Kay and Sir Pellias.

Everything remains on track to be completed before the holiday season, with the contractor demobilizing until April.

Safety reminder

There was an attempted equipment theft last night, spotted by a resident at 1am. Contractors will not be working unusual hours. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please contact York Regional Police.

Thank you for your continued patience as we complete this phase of the storm sewer upgrade project. Your understanding helps keep this work moving forward to protect our homes and streets from flooding.

Regards,
Karen Rea
